Rainbow spotting.

A posting from Poetry Café

You can end your search now: we know where to find the beginning and the end of the rainbow! It’s located in Denmark – more precise: on the roof of the danish art museum “ARoS”. “Your rainbow panorama” is the final level of the museums symbolic ascension through Dante’s 9 circles of hell in the Divine Comedy and was planned by the architect Olafur Eliasson who wants to blur the distinction between contemporary art and architecture. The full spectrum of colors is achieved by sandwiching up to 6 colored sheets in-between two plates of glass.
The circle measures 52 meter in diameter and the 150 meters long skywalk allows the visitors a great and colourful view of the city. At night the ring is internally lit and so becoming the beacon of the city.

Suspended between the city and the sky, this viewing platform insists on your sensory engagement. You feel the view. Olafur Eliasson
