This Sunday is Mothersday and a lot of us is currently thinking about what to buy our precious mum. We know that the best ideas are definitely not huge teddys, diet chocolate or kitchen utensils but thoughtfulness and time spent with her.
Yoko Ono started in 2004 her project “My Mommy is beautiful”. At the touring exhibition that has crossed many countrys until now visitors were invited to to write a thought or memory about their mothers, or bring a photograph, and attach it to the canvases.
Now you can join in in this tribute to all mothers of the world from their children online, via E-Mail, Facebook or Twitter. Just upload photos of your mother or tag an Instagram or tweet with #mmib. You can also write her name, a note about her, to her and to yourself. Whether it’s a love letter, a poem or a very long message or as long as a novel or just a short sentence or a word – everything’s fine.
