Moleskine: a poet’s companion.

A posting from Poetry Café

Everyday poets will no doubt come across moleskine notebooks sooner or later. The small black (and meanwhile also colourful) booklets have become a must-have and a very inspiring accessory.

The small booklet with great ideas was created by the travelling author Bruce Chatwin. The name “moleskine” is the nickname he gave his favourite notebook in his famous book “The Songlines”.

By the way: for digital poets there’s also a Moleskine cover for iPad- and iPhone-: a hybrid designed for making the simultaneous use of paper, phone and internet utilities easier.

Without Moleskines there would definitely be less poetry in the world. How do you use your Moleskine?

To lose a passport was the least of one’s worries: to lose a notebook was a catastrophe. Bruce Chatwin
