Getting lost in good books is entirely a good thing. In London you can even take this literally and truly get lost in many good books. London2012 is a cultural festival in which over 12,000 cultural events are held for Londoners and visitors. The artist Marcos Saboya and Gualter Pupo built together with many volunteers at the South Bank Centre the installation “aMAZEme”. 250,000 books summarizes the maze designet like the four fingerprints of the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. He described in his story “The Library of Babel” an infinite library. The walls are about 2.5 meters high and the Maze covers over 500 square meters. Once lost in the installation, the visitors will discover many hidden surprises like literary quotes, audio messages and visual effects.
Those who would love to see that on their own, should visit London before the 26th of august, closing date of the installation.
