Music Fractals.

A posting from Poetry Café

Russian artist Tatiana Plakhova has an outstanding gift: she combines art and science in her highly complex but nevertheless extremly beautiful visualizations. For her latest project she visualized the music of Philip Glass. To describe her work she only needs 3 tags: art, science and math! The question why she sees beauty in the chaos is answered with “Chaos has its own structure, and each stucture contains chaos. I am attracted by both characteristics. They are both inseparable and the basic laws of the world we live in. We can’t enjoy the beauty of waves, stars and leaves without the chaotic, unpredictable, disodered part of live.” (Interview with Satellite Voices).

“You can either call it Complexism or Networkism … where imaginary landscapes of interconnected entities are the prevailing theme.”
