Fly away.

A posting from Poetry Café

Who isn’t dreaming of flying away from the sorrows of everyday life – at least sometimes. Fly to a world full of magical adventures, Tinkerbells and never-ending freedom. Young photographer Anka Zhuravleva realised this dream – in her photophraphs. Her models float, fly and rest weightless in the room – dreaming, hanging on to objects or ready to jump into a different world. The series is called ‘distorted gravity’. Anka was born in Russia and her past is not so weightless: after her parents died early she became a tattoo artist, nude model and painter before becoming a photo artist. We hope to see even more of her great photographs in the future.
