Ben Heine defines himself as visual creator and has created a unique photo-project named “Pencil vs. Camera”. He wanted to oppose imagination and reality, drawing and photography by using simple tools: his pencils and his camera. In an interview with Pop Photo he explains: “It’s a very exciting thing to do because there is no limit. Everything is possible. The only boundary is my own perception of the world.” In his blog he also describes where he get’s his inspiration from: I think sources of inspiration are everywhere; most people just don’t want to see them or they perceive and interpret them differently.
We like his technique of putting poetry into everyday-pictures and hope to see more of his inspired projects in the near future.
The peaceful combination of the two mediums is interesting, harmonic and powerful”
